THE HIGHEST QUALITY CONCRETE WINE TANKS

The company is situated at the foothills of the Italian Dolomites near Verona and uses pristine materials such as sand and gravel from the riverbed of the Brenta river. Nico Velo has been making tanks for 70 years. Their concrete tanks are elegant and refined in form, combining technical and aesthetic requirements.

The materials used create an enhanced porosity to allow for micro-oxygenation. The concrete walls are about 5 inches thick and help insulating your wine, allowing for heat to dissipate, avoiding strong temperature fluctuation during fermentation. Concrete helps develop softer wines and enhances their fruity character, as opposed to the reductive characteristic of stainless steel. Many famous wineries around the world are adding Nico Velo tanks for its unique quality and design.
The tanks are available in several sizes and can be customized to suit your needs. Nico Velo was the first manufacturer in the implementation of glycol temperature control lines embedded in the walls and holds a patent on its special design and material.

IPak Wine imports all concrete wine tank shapes. Please contact us if you have any questions or to place an order for the 2018 vintage.
